Admission Requirements Tuition and Fees Program Structure
Start your career in accounting through Keyano College's Business Administration - Accounting program. You'll gain practical skills that will help you analyze financial information to plan fiscal management policies and create business strategies. You can start your path in our Business Administration Accounting Certificate program and progress to our Diploma program. Graduates can apply the program toward earning a professional designation as well.
Applications are accepted for Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters. Please submit your application as soon as possible as many programs fill up quickly.
Learn practical accounting skills
You'll learn accounting and finance theories that apply to a variety of positions in both public and private sectors. You'll be able to audit a business and recommend ways to solve financial issues.
Through the program, you'll build on your ability to:
- Prepare budgets, tax returns and financial statements
- Provide personal and corporate income tax and estate planning
- Plan control and use of business assets
- Provide litigation support
- Serve as a bankruptcy trustee and business valuator
Professional accounting designations |
Many professional accounting designations require a university degree. While earning your Certificate and Diploma through the program, you can also study towards your degree. For information on transfer to various port-secondary institutions, please refer to the Alberta Transfer Guide. After graduating with your Bachelor, you can apply for a professional accounting designation. Designations include:

Current grade 12 students can submit an application on or after October 1 and we will process the application for admission. Any students with 5% or higher on the program admission requirements and school timetable showing they are registered in appropriate grade 12 courses may be given conditional acceptance into programs. |

Please note, these estimates are based on 100% enrollment for all semesters and do not include mandatory laboratory fees. Laboratory fees can range from $24 - $107.
* Students will be charged a medical/dental benefit fee unless they opt out by demonstrating alternative coverage - deadlines can be found at Student Cares website.
** These programs have a mandatory Spring semester if students intend to graduate on time.
*** Tuition is due 10 business days before the start of each semester.

Program structure
You can study part-time or full-time with day or evening courses. You can complete a one year Business Administration Management certificate and choose to continue in year 2 to achieve the diploma.
