Writing a proctored exam

Please read and follow these instructions when writing a supervised exam:

  • Arrive 15 minutes early and be ready to start the exam at the scheduled time. Start and stop times for exams will be strictly followed. Students who arrive late will not be permitted to start the exam and will need to have instructor approval to reschedule.
  • Bring a government-issued ID for identification purposes.
  • Before the exam start time, place all personal belongings in a locker. Locks will be provided by Testing Services. Only materials listed on the Exam Supervision Request Form will be allowed in the exam room. Exceptions are allowed only with written authorization from the instructor.
  • Any dishonesty or cheating by a student will be subject to the disciplinary processes outlined in Keyano College's Student Rights and Responsibilities policy.
  • During the exam, you must remain in the exam room and leave only with the permission of the exam invigilator. All breaks will be recorded and provided to the instructor. If you leave the exam room without permission, the invigilator may end the session and return the exam to the instructor. Breaks will not extend exam time.
  • You cannot leave the exam within the first 30 minutes.
  • For non-Keyano exams, you will follow the exam procedures and policies of your institution.
