Tuition Tax Receipts (T2202 and T4A)

T2202, Tuition and Enrolment Certificate
The tax form T2202 is automatically produced for the sum of eligible amounts applicable to the respective calendar year for each student. T2202 forms will be available through Self-Service on the last day of February of the following year.
On February 28, 2021 T2202s for both credit and non-credit courses will be available online at to students for the 2020 taxation year.
Exceptions - Students meeting the following criteria will need to contact the Office of the Registrar for T2202 generation:
- Students for whom we do not have a Social Insurance Number
- Students for whom we do not have a Canadian or USA mailing address
- Students on financial hold

Credit Students |
T2202 is the official tax receipt and will include the following information:
Academic Foundations, College Preparation, LINC and English for Academic Purposes courses do not meet CRA’s criteria as “courses at a post-secondary level” and therefore those students are not issued a T2202. If a student had taken college prep classes in addition to certificate/diploma/degree classes in 2020, only the certificate/diploma/degree tuition and months will show on the T2202. |

T4A Statement of Pension, Retirement, Annuity, and Other Income
Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations requires Keyano College to issue T4A slips for all scholarships, bursaries and awards disbursed to students in a given calendar year .

Non-Canadian citizens will not be issued a Social Insurance Number unless they seek employment in Canada. If you are granted a scholarship, bursary or award and do not have a SIN please visit the Service Canada website for information on how to apply for a SIN.
