Renewals

Renewing Online

Credit students, faculty, and staff can renew items online through their Library Account (NEOS). Each item has a maximum number of renewals allowed (see Borrowing Policies above) and an item cannot be renewed if it has a hold placed on it by another account.

In order to renew online, you will need to log in using the barcode from your student or staff ID and your four-digit PIN (available from the Library Information Desk or see What is my library PIN?).

For more information, please see How do I renew the items on my account?

Please note that not all items can be renewed online and you may be required to renew in-person.

Renewing In-person, by Email, Phone, or Library Chat

All library users, including TAL cardholders, can renew library items:

•       In person at the Library Information Desk

•       By email

•       By phone at 780-791-4917

•       Library online chat

Each item has a maximum number of renewals allowed (see Borrowing Policies above) and an item cannot be renewed if it has a hold placed on it by another account.

Please note that not all items can be renewed via email, phone or chat and you may be required to renew in person.

Library Fines

Due to our partnership with other library organizations, late fees and fines may be added to your account and may be more than expected – please don’t be alarmed.  In many cases, simply returning or renewing any overdue items can often waive these fees entirely – please contact us for ways that we can help.

If a financial hold has been placed on your student account, it will remain in place until the items have been returned in good condition OR the replacement fee has been paid in the case of lost or damaged books. When the outstanding book(s) are returned to the library in good condition and/or the replacement cost has been paid, all fines will be waived and the financial hold will be lifted. All library fines must be paid in person at the Library Information Desk.

Requests & Interlibrary Loans

If there is an item you wish to borrow that is not available through the Keyano Library Catalogue, you can request to borrow it through interlibrary loan (ILL). Please note that it may take up to 2 weeks for ILL resources to arrive.
