Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. It evaluates how well you combine your reading, listening, speaking and writing skills to perform academic tasks.

You can take the TOEFL if you are a(n):

  • Student planning to study at a higher education institution
  • Student in an English language learning program
  • Scholarship and certification candidate
  • English-language learner looking to track their progress
  • Student or worker applying for a visa

Test schedule

Please note: we have cancelled all exam sessions until further notice, as per government directive on COVID-19 outbreak. We will open more sessions when we reopen. Test takers can contact TOEFL for rescheduling their exams. 

The TOEFL iBT test is delivered online in  Bob Lamb Building, Room BL 143.
