Program Overview
The Business Administration Human Resource Management (HRM) Diploma will provide graduates with necessary skills and experiences for entry to supervisory-level careers in organizational human resource management. Learners are exposed to HRM specific topics as well to general business management topics, thus preparing them to be valuable contributors in a variety of organizational settings or also as individual HR consultants.
The Business Administration Human Resource Management Diploma program is aligned with key Chartered Professionals in Human Resources of Alberta (CPHR) competencies.
Admission Requirements
High School Diploma (or equivalent) |
High School diploma or equivalent, with • A minimum of 55% in Math 30-1, or • A minimum of 55% in Math 30-2, AND • A minimum of 60% in English 30 / 30-1, or • A minimum of 65% in English 33 / 30-2 |
Mature Students (Have been out of school for at least three consecutive years, or are at least 21 years of age by the first day of class) |
Mature students (students who are 21 years or older) may be admitted by: • the completion of the above Math and English courses only (with the grades specified) OR • pass mark on the College Entrance Assessment |
English Language Proficiency |

Please note, these estimates are based on 100% enrollment for all semesters and do not include mandatory laboratory fees. Laboratory fees can range from $33- $129 for 2023-2024 and $34-$132 for 2024-2025.
* Students will be charged a medical/dental benefit fee unless they opt out by demonstrating alternative coverage - deadlines can be found at StudentCare website.
** These programs have a mandatory Spring semester if students intend to graduate on time.

![]() Gregory Krabes joined Keyano College in August 2017. He also teaches at Athabasca University, and is a visiting professor at Thompson Rivers University (Kamloops BC). Prior to these appointments, he lectured and conducted research in Europe, China, and The Middle East. Before joining academia, Gregory was an Economic Diplomat with Société Générale de Surveillance headquartered in Geneva. Gregory holds a BBA and an MBA in Power Engineering. His areas of discipline are international business, policy, strategy, and economic diplomacy. Gregory's research interests include international education, international management, and global development.

Dr. Pratibha Shalini - Business Instructor |
From 2011-2014, Dr. Shalini worked as a Credit Analyst in Barclays UK Corporate Banking, followed by a four year stint in Retail Banking with TSB Bank in Glasgow, UK. Since 2020, her focus has been Post-Secondary teaching roles in Canada. Her areas of discipline are economics, business mathematics, operations management, and international business. Dr. Shalini's research interests include financial inclusion, financial literacy, behaviour economics, and economic and social development.
