Advanced Care Paramedics (ACPs) are vital team members of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) who provide advanced life support, medical and trauma care in a variety of health-related settings. The ACP program is an advanced care level diploma. This two year blended learning program offers students the opportunity to remain in their respective communities for the majority of their educational program. Graduates can then apply their acquired knowledge and skills within the scope of an ACP to various health related settings.

Applications for this program will close on the first day of class. Offers of admission for eligible applicants may continue based on available seats until the end of the first week of classes. Students will be required to register in the program on or before the end of the first week of classes.

Mandatory Selection Day |
Prehospital Program Coordinator in the Nursing & Allied Health Studies Department will contact you to schedule an interview. This interview may be face-to-face or virtual and is a pre-entry interview to learn more about the student’s qualifications for the Advanced Care Paramedic Program at Keyano College. The student will be asked to detail their educational and work experience history plus answer preparatory questions about Advanced Care Paramedic practice. |
Practicum Requirements |
Prior to beginning practicums, students must complete medical forms, show proof of up-to-date immunizations, and obtain a clear Police Information Check with vulnerable sector. |
English Language Proficiency |
In addition to meeting English Language Proficiency students must also present appropriate admission requirements for their chosen program. |

Please note, these estimates are based on 100% enrollment for all semesters and do not include mandatory laboratory fees. Laboratory fees can range from $34-$132 for 2024-2025 and $35- $135 for 2025-2026.
* Students will be charged a medical/dental benefit fee unless they opt out by demonstrating alternative coverage - deadlines can be found at StudentCare website.
** These programs have a mandatory Spring semester if students intend to graduate on time.
