Complex tasks that formerly required high-level hand skills can now be accomplished with much less time and effort. Operators in CNC can adapt tooling and software to meet many industrial requirements. The human imagination is the only limit on what effect CNC can have on manufacturing, fabrication, and quality products.  The CNC Table Operator Micro-Credentials are an introduction to CNC manufacturing is offered as five micro-credentials, each building the essential skills to operate any CNC cutting table independently.

  • Safety and Material Handling (30 hrs)
  • Introduction to Welding and Construction tools (30 hrs)
  • Construction Math and Blueprints (30 hrs)
  • CAD/CAM for CNC Laser Cutter (30 hrs)
  • CNC Table Operator Project (30 hrs)

Digital Literacy Micro-Credential (Free)

In today's digital age, the ability to navigate and thrive as an engaged digital citizen is essential. This 16-hour open access asynchronous micro-credential is designed to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of the foundations of digital citizenship, focusing on key aspects of evaluation, exploration, ethics, value, privacy, creation, and digital well-being. Through a combination of self-paced learning materials, interactive activities, guided reflections, and a capstone project learners will develop critical digital literacy skills necessary for responsible and meaningful engagement in the digital realm.

This course is suitable for college students, professionals, educators, and individual seeking to develop essential digital literacy skills and acquire a strong foundation in digital citizenship. Whether learners are a novice or have some prior experience with technology, this course will equip learners with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the digital world responsibly and ethically. Upon successful completion of this micro-credential course, learners will receive a certificate of achievement, recognizing their attainment of foundational digital literacy skills and understanding of the principles of digital citizenship.

Childhood Studies at Keyano College is now offering Micro-Credentials for graduates of Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Certificate.  This program allows students to progress at their own pace completing one or more course per year.
