Human Resource Management Diploma
The Human Resource Management Program at Keyano College is designed to prepare students for dynamic roles in HR by integrating core business knowledge with specialized human resources training. Over two years, students will build a solid foundation in employment law, organizational strategy, and workforce planning - all while developing practical leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
This diploma aligns with key Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) Alberta competencies. Graduates with a 70%+ average in the accredited program are exempt from the CPHR National Knowledge Exam (NKE).

Capstone and Work Experience
In your final year, you’ll complete either:
A Human Resource Management Capstone Project, applying your knowledge to a real business challenge.
OR
A Work-Integrated Learning experience, such as a co-op or practicum, to gain valuable workplace exposure and build professional connections.
Admission Requirements
Standard Entry:
- Alberta High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Minimum 55% in Math 30-1 or 30-2
- Minimum 60% in English 30/30-1 or 65% in English 33/30-2
Mature Students (21+):
You may qualify by:
- Completing the required courses
- Passing the College Placement Assessment
- Applying as a Special Student (1 course per term)
