Business Administration Accounting Diploma

The Business Accounting Program at Keyano College prepares you for entry-level accounting roles and long-term career growth. You’ll build a solid foundation in financial theory, reporting, and business strategy, all while studying in-person at our Fort McMurray campus.

Students complete a first year of core business courses before moving into specialized accounting studies in the second year, or can start directly in Year 1 of the diploma program.

Co-op Diploma - Work Experience

This program is eligible for a cooperative education (co-op) credit course between Year 1 and Year 2. The co-op provides students with an opportunity to gain full-time employment experience in a field related to their program. The co-op takes place at the end of Year 1 and must be a minimum of 420 hours.

Admission Requirements

High School Diploma (or Equivalent)

Applicants must present a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with the following minimum grades:

  • A minimum of 55% in Math 30-1 or 55% in Math 30-2

  • A minimum of 60% in English 30/30-1 or 65% in English 33/30 or English 30-2

Mature Student Admission

Applicants 21 years or older may be admitted by:

  • Completing the required courses
  • Passing the College Placement Assessment
  • Applying as a Special Student (1 course per term)

English Language Proficiency

  • TOEFL iBT: 79 (no section below 19)
  • IELTS: 6.0 overall
  • CAEL: 60
  • MELAB: 80
  • Duolingo: 95
  • PTE (Academic): 50
