Background and Purpose

The Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) Advisory Council is established to provide guidance, advice, and recommendations to the College on matters related to equity, diversity, inclusivity, and fostering a sense of belonging within the institution. The council's primary aim is to promote a culture where all individuals, regardless of their background, feel respected, heard, valued, and included in every aspect of the College's operations.

Objectives

The core objectives of the EDIB Advisory Council are as follows:

  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations on the development and implementation of the College’s long-term EDIB strategy, policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow council members, bringing diverse perspectives and expertise to identify and address systemic challenges and disparities within our College.
  • Work in partnership with a diverse array of interested and affected parties, including College employees, students, and external partners, to gather data, evaluate the advancement of EDIB programs and initiatives, and propose evidence-based solutions that facilitate institutional transformation.
