Keyano College Announces New Female Empowerment Award for 2024

Posted On Friday March 15, 2024

Keyano College is distributing two new ‘Female Empowerment’ student awards this year. The awards, valued at $5,000 each, aim to support two female students in any program at Keyano College based on their community involvement and financial needs. The Fore the Ladies Classic, a golf tournament uniting woman in Wood Buffalo, established the awards in alignment with its objective, which fosters a sense of community, celebrates achievements, and inspires the next generation of female leaders.

Cristina McQuilter, the founder of Fore the Ladies Classic, expressed joy at Keyano College as the recipient of event profits. She emphasized the goal of inspiring women to pursue their dreams, fostering a diverse range of career paths. Nyssa Papertzian, Advancement Officer, Alumni Relations & Individual Giving at Keyano College, recognizes the award's significance beyond just a scholarship. It symbolizes an opportunity, lighting the path for women in the community and exemplifying the college's commitment to inclusivity and support.

Keyano College thanks Cristina McQuilter and all Fore the Ladies Classic participants. The 3rd Annual Fore the Ladies Classic is scheduled for June 22, 2024.
