Keyano College Event Cancellation Notice

In accordance with new public health restrictions communicated on March 12 by the Government of Alberta please note the following:

  • All Keyano Theatre shows for the rest of March have been cancelled or postponed. Ticket holders will be contacted for refunds. (A list of those specific events will follow below.)
  • All Keyano Huskies sporting events are cancelled, including training sessions.
  • The Rivalry Dinner fundraiser has been postponed to a later date in the fall.
  • All bookings for the Syncrude Sport and Wellness Centre field houses have been cancelled.
  • The 8th Annual University Studies Conference set for Saturday, March 13 has been cancelled.
  • Canadian Kangaroo Math event has been cancelled.
  • The LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) Multicultural Celebration has been cancelled.


At this time, the college remains open for students and classes are continuing. The Sport and Wellness fitness centre remains open and lease holders at the College and the Sport and Wellness are also operating.

Keyano College is vigilantly monitoring and responding to new information about the coronavirus outbreak. The College has formed an internal response team to prepare for potential operational contingencies. Additional prevention measures are also being taken, including enhanced cleaning procedures for all offices and common areas within the College.

Our top priority is the health and safety of our staff and students, as well as the public at large. To that end, the College is following the guidance of Alberta Health Services, The Government of Alberta, and appropriate federal agencies.

  • Tuesday, March 17: Derina Harvey Band
  • Thursday, March 20: If you’re Angry and you know it . . .An evening with Carla White and friends
  • Saturday March 21-22: Northern Dance Off 2020
  • Saturday, March 21: Reel Rock Film Tour
  • Wednesday, March 25: Ecole Dickensfield Presents: Haphazardly Ever After
  • Thursday, March 26: Mission Songs Project
  • Mini Pop Kids Live: Friday, March 27

Ticketing for future Theatre events has been paused until further notice.

Keyano Huskies -- Suspended tournaments:

  • 2020 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association – Women’s Basketball National Championships
  • 2020 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Men’s and Women’s Futsal Championships

Syncrude Sport and Wellness Centre
