Keyano-Logo News ReleasesKeyano College will launch its spring semester on May 11. The week delay will give College teams more time to reestablish critical IT infrastructure in the wake of floods that affected downtown Fort McMurray.

Keyano-Logo News ReleasesKeyano College staff have performed a preliminary assessment of the flood damage at the Clearwater Campus. 
The Main College campuses were evacuated on April 27 and all systems were shut down at the time. Students and employees living in Penhorwood and Clearwater Hall residences were evacuated on April 26 prior to the official notice being received, as a precaution.

The Main College campus has been evacuated following orders from the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, all personnel have left, and there is no threat to staff.
As of Monday afternoon, water had risen enough compromising College buildings. Staff were able to shut down power to the downtown campus and moved IT servers to the Suncor Energy Industrial Centre to ensure operations at the College can continue.
