Keyano Theatre & Arts Centre Receives Sustaining Grant Funding

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) Council unanimously approved the grant of $559,615 for Keyano Theatre & Art Centre.

Presenting for Keyano, were President & CEO, Jay Notay and Theatre Director, Alan Roberts.  In addition, multiple delegates spoke on behalf of the Theatre.  Jenny Price, North Region Director and Vice President of Drama Festival Association, Dave Boutilier, Chairperson, Arts Council Wood Buffalo Board of Directors, Sheri Donovan, General Manager, SECPA, and Lee-Anne Kumka, President of Fort McMurray Avrora Ukrainian Dance Club all expressed the importance of Keyano Theatre & Arts Centre in our local community.

“We are grateful to the Mayor and Council for supporting Keyano Theatre & Arts Centre through this grant. We believe this aligns with the Municipal Strategic Plan to provide programs and services related to arts and culture that benefit our region,” said Jay Notay, President & CEO of Keyano College

“Keyano Theatre has been part of the community for over 30 years, and our intention is to continue to be a centre for arts and culture in Wood Buffalo for many years to come,” added Alan Roberts, Director of Keyano Theatre & Arts Centre.
