Celebrating A Wright Christmas at Keyano Theatre

(Fort McMurray, December 11, 2019) Keyano Theatre and the Syncrude Arts Alive series present a magical Christmas evening with Canadian country icon Michelle Wright on Sunday, December 15. Michelle’s acclaimed show A Wright Christmas features a mix of her best loved songs and holiday classics, like her newly released version of Silver Bells.

Michelle Wright is one of Canada's most widely recognized and awarded female country artist. Her expressive voice and distinctive style has earned her 25 Top Ten radio hits, more than 40 major awards, and seen her sell millions of records.

Growing up in Merlin, Ontario, a small Canadian farming community near Chatham, Michelle’s parents were both country performers. 

“My earliest memories of music are singing in the car, or spending the weekend with my father and watching him put on a rhinestone-studded suit to perform in.”

As part of her successful country music career, Michelle recorded A Wright Christmas in 2005 to bring an original spin to wonderful Christmas standards.

“Though you don’t want to mess around too much with these timeless songs, it also allowed me to stretch as a singer. A little pop, rock, jazz and a lot of Christmas spirit..”
