Keyano College adds power engineering to Dual Credit program

Local high school students looking to pursue power engineering can jump-start their post-secondary education through Keyano College’s newest Dual Credit program.

Offered in partnership with the Fort McMurray Catholic and Public School Districts, select grade 11 and 12 students are able to enroll for the College’s 4th Class Power Engineering – Computer Managed Learning course.

Students have the ability to take Keyano’s 4th Class Power Engineering program through flexible delivery during their high school studies. Once they graduate high school, students can apply to Keyano’s 3rd Class Power Engineering COOP or CML certificate program.

The program officially launches in September, but it will be up to the individual high school Off-Campus Coordinators to decide when to allow students to start program. Keyano has enrolment at the beginning of each month.

Dual Credit courses first launched at Keyano in 2016 and include welding and residential electrical installation.
