Keyano welcomes new VP in key Infrastructure and Information role

After an intensive recruitment process, Keyano College welcomed Tracy Boyde as Vice President, Infrastructure and Chief Information Officer (CIO) on April 29.

“I am very happy we were able to recruit someone with the experience and the skills that Mr. Boyde offers,” said Keyano College President and CEO, Dr. Trent Keough. “This is a key executive role for Keyano. Tracy will work to ensure the College’s infrastructure and information systems are up-to-date. We will be well prepared to meet the future needs of our students, communities, businesses and industries.”

Boyde brings over 30 years of experience working in the post-secondary sector. He has worked for more than 25 years in various college environments and five years with an Alberta University. During that time, he was involved in a wide range of Information Technology roles, progressing from IT operations to planning and managing information technology projects and teams. He has led both IT and Facilities teams to collaborate in the delivery of major capital projects.

Prior to joining Keyano College, he worked for six years with Portage College where he led the Facilities and IT teams in renewing the IT environment and completing major facility renovations. Prior to that, Boyde was part of an Athabasca University team that worked to renew the University’s administrative information systems.

He holds a Bachelor's degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland, a Masters of Business Administration from Athabasca University and has a Project Management Professional designation.
