Keyano Theatre cancels 2020-2021 season, postpones 40th anniversary celebrations

Posted On Monday August 17, 2020

Keyano Theatre has made the difficult decision not to move forward with the 2020-2021 season as planned due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This means there will be no live community theatre productions this year and we are postponing our 40th Anniversary celebrations to a later date, when we can safely gather and fill our seats.

Our cancellation is in line with other theatres across the country who have also been affected by the pandemic.

Theatre staff continue to work hard behind the scenes to bring live events presented in the Syncrude Arts Alive Series to Keyano Theatre once it is safe to do so.

“Although we are not able to present our performances at this time, we want to thank the community for your continued support,” said Alan Roberts, Director of Keyano Theatre & Arts Centre.

For season ticket holders, favorite seats and performance night will be waiting for you when we return.

Keyano Theatre & Arts Centre is open for community studio rentals based on current Alberta Health Services Guidelines. Please reach out to boxoffice@keyano.ca for details.
