COVID-19 Update

Facility Update – March 1, 2022

The Government of Alberta has announced a 3-stage approach to the lifting of public health restrictions in the province, including ending the Restriction Exemption Program.

On September 18, 2021, the Government of Alberta enacted the Restriction Exemption Program (REP) as part of their COVID-19 response. It has been announced that the Restriction Exemption Program ended at 11:59 pm on February 8, 2022. This means proof of vaccination or a negative test is not necessary for amenity access, and facility usage.

Effective March 1, 2022, masks and face coverings will no longer be required when visiting Syncrude Sport and Wellness Centre. We understand and respect that some visitors may wish to continue to wear masks when visiting our facility, and we support this individual choice.

We would like to thank our members, guests and visitors, and the community for your patience, support, and understanding as we move into Step 2 of the provincial plan.
