Keyano College and Birch Mountain Enterprises Celebrate the Renaming of the BME Fitness Centre at Syncrude Sports and Wellness Centre

Keyano College and Birch Mountain Enterprises (BME) are proud to mark an important moment with the official renaming of the fitness facilities within the Syncrude Sport and Wellness Centre as the BME Fitness Centre and High-Performance Studio.
The fitness centre has been part of Keyano College for many years. While the space itself is not new, this is the first time it has received a naming partner. The partnership reflects shared values around wellbeing, student support, and community connection.
Chris Wilson, CEO and Managing Partner of Birch Mountain Enterprises and a Keyano College alumnus, spoke about the importance of the partnership and his connection to the College.

The BME Fitness Centre serves students, staff, and community members who prioritize their well-being. The High-Performance Studio plays a central role in Huskies Athletics and serves as the primary training space for Keyano’s student athletes.
Chantal Beaver, Associate Vice President, Public Engagement at Keyano College, emphasized the long-term impact of the space and the partnership.
“This space has always mattered to our campus. It is where students and athletes build confidence, develop discipline, and learn what it means to show up consistently. This partnership supports that work and ensures this facility continues to serve our college and our community for years to come.”
The partnership was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Keyano College leadership, BME representatives, student athletes, and community members. The BME Fitness Centre stands as a commitment to wellbeing, athletic development, and student experience at Keyano College.
