The University Transfer: Bachelor of Education – Elementary Program allows you to complete the first two years (60 credits) of your degree at Keyano College before continuing into the final two years of the University of Alberta's Bachelor of Education program, delivered locally at Keyano's Clearwater Campus.

Throughout the program, you'll build a strong foundation in child development, educational theory, communication, and teaching strategies. Along the way, you'll study a range of subjects, including English, mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, and physical education.

Graduates with a Bachelor of Education are prepared for careers in elementary education and related educational settings. Possible career paths include:

Elementary School Teacher (Kindergarten to Grade 6) Inclusive Education Teacher ESL/EAL Educator Instructional Coach or Curriculum Coordinator Early Literacy or Numeracy Interventionist

Graduates may also pursue graduate studies in education, educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, or other related fields.

Yes. Upon completion, you are eligible to apply for Alberta teacher certification.

Yes. Applicants with a recognized undergraduate degree may apply to begin in Year 3 via the After Degree route.

Fall 2027. The Year 3–4 intake occurs every two years.

Yes. Beginning in Year 3, students will complete multiple field experiences in K–6 classroom settings.
