Keyano College’s Power Engineering – CML (Computer Managed Learning) Program is a flexible, self-paced online learning option for students pursuing 4th or 3rd Class Power Engineering certification. Designed for working professionals and independent learners, the program allows students to complete coursework on their own schedule with virtual instructor support available through Microsoft Teams.
The program includes:
Final exams must be written in person or through an approved online proctor. Students are responsible for testing fees and must submit an Exam Invigilation Consent Form for any off-campus exams.
Power Engineering Fundamentals
Apply foundational physics and thermodynamics to power engineering operations.
Plant Safety & Regulatory Standards
Apply electrical theory to power, lighting, and control systems in real-world environments.
Boiler & Mechanical Systems
Operate and maintain boilers, compressors, and prime movers used in industrial facilities.

What’s the difference between Computer Managed Learning (CML) and the Full-Time Day Program?
The CML program is self-paced and online, allowing you to study on your own schedule. The Day Program includes structured classes and hands-on labs or co-op placements.
How long does the Computer Managed Learning program take to complete?
Completion times vary depending on your schedule and study habits.
Can I switch from Computer Managed Learning to the Full-Time Day Program?
Yes, speak with a program coordinator to explore transfer options.
Financial aid is not available for Computer Managed Learning. It is only available for full-time, in-person programs.
