You’ll work with pumps, conveyors, compressors, turbines, and alignment systems common in industrial settings.

No experience is required. You can begin classroom instruction without an employer. However, to complete your apprenticeship, you must secure a sponsor who will provide on-the-job training. 

An apprentice is a learner gaining trade skills on the job. A journeyperson is a certified professional who has completed their apprenticeship and passed all required exams.

You’ll earn a Journeyperson Certificate and an Advanced Diploma. You may also qualify for Red Seal endorsement, allowing you to work across Canada.

Yes. Apprentices typically earn a percentage of the journeyperson wage, which increases as they progress through their training levels.

You will need steel-toe boots (Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approved) and safety gear. A full list is provided at the start of the program.
