Start your path in advanced manufacturing with the CNC Table Operator Program at Keyano College. This hands-on, short-term program prepares you to safely operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) cutting equipment used in modern fabrication and manufacturing environments.

Through five micro-credential courses, you’ll build foundational skills in material handling, welding, blueprint reading, CAD/CAM software, and CNC table operation while working in a real workshop setting. You’ll also learn how CNC technology uses digital files and computer-controlled machinery to precisely cut and shape materials like metal and wood. Whether you’re exploring trades for the first time or adding new technical skills to your toolbox, this program helps you become job-ready quickly.

No previous experience is required. This is an introductory-level program designed for individuals wanting to learn a trade or add a new trade to their career toolbox.

The program is delivered in-person at Keyano College. 

Students are required to bring and wear their own Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including:

  • Steel-toe boots (Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approved)
  • Hard hat
  • Reflective vest
  • Safety glasses 

No formal application is needed. Registration is open to learners 18 years and older.  

Yes! This certificate can ladder into other programs like the Welding Apprenticeship or other skilled trades pathways.
