Congratulations - you’ve reached the final steps of your Keyano academic journey!

Once you've completed all your program requirements, you're eligible to apply to graduate.

Apply to Graduate

Once you have completed all your program requirements, Keyano College students must apply to graduate.

Applications for Graduation are accepted on an ongoing basis. If you are completing your program of study in the current academic year (July - June), you must apply to graduate.

If you apply to graduate from the 1st to the 10th day of the month, your application will be reviewed that same month. If you are eligible to graduate, your parchment (certificate, diploma, professional certificate) will be printed by the end of that month. 

If you apply to graduate after the 10th day of the month, your application will be reviewed the following month. If you are eligible to graduate, your parchment (certificate, diploma, professional certificate) will be printed by the end of the following month.

Example: If you apply to graduate on June 11, your application will be reviewed in July. If you are eligible to graduate, your parchment will be printed by July 31.

To be invited to attend the Annual Convocation in June, students must have applied to graduate by February 10, 2026.

Certificate/Diploma Personalization

Name on your certificate or diploma 

The name listed on your student academic record will be printed on your diploma or certificate parchment. If you would like to make changes to your name, you must officially notify the Office of the Registrar by submitting the Student Change of Information form.

Delivery of your certificate or diploma

Once your credential is awarded, your certificate or diploma parchment will be mailed to the address provided on the Application for Graduation.

Indigenous self-identification

Students who self-identify as being of Indigenous ancestry will be identified with a feather on the convocation program.

Graduate Awards

Honouring students who achieve exceptional academic performance each term and at program completion

Determination of full load for Dean’s List only:

  1. Trades Program Award: full time study for the length of the intake.
  2. Certificate Programs Award: certificate programs are an academic program credential that are of at least four (4) months in length. Students eligible for this award will have studied full-time full load as defined by the program.
  3. Diploma Programs Award: diploma programs are post-secondary education programs that are one (1) or two (2) years in length. Students eligible for this award will have studied full-time full load as defined by the program.
  4. Bachelor’s degree Programs Award: students eligible for this award will have studied full time full load as defined by the program. 

Students identified for the Dean’s List will have a GPA of 3.3 or higher. Dean’s List is calculated at the end of each term and is based on final course marks. Dean’s List is only awarded to students in full-load study as defined above.

Students identified for the “With Distinction” designation will have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Office Administration students and Primary Care Paramedic students will have a GPA of 3.67 or higher. “With Distinction” designation is calculated at the end of the program and is based on cumulative GPA for the program. Full-time determination is not in effect for this award.

Students identified for the President’s list will have a GPA of 3.67 as determined by averaging the grades accumulated over the total length of their program. Office administration students and Primary Care Paramedic students will have a GPA of 4.0. President’s list will only be recognized at the completion of a program. Full-time determination is not in effect for this award.

Convocation Ceremony

You will be invited to Convocation 2026 if:

  • You apply to graduate by the deadline;
  • You already graduated in the 2025-2026 year academic year; or
  • You are enrolled in any Collaborative degree programs.
