Your instructor will meet with you to discuss the situation. If a violation is confirmed, consequences may include a warning, a zero on an assignment, or—in severe cases—suspension.
What is Academic Integrity?
Academic integrity is the foundation of learning and success at Keyano College. It means conducting yourself with honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility, and courage in all academic activities—from submitting assignments and writing tests to collaborating with peers and conducting research.
Upholding these values not only supports your own growth, but also strengthens the reputation and credibility of the entire Keyano College community.
Why It Matters
Academic integrity ensures a level playing field for every student. When you follow the rules and do your own work, you help create a learning environment built on fairness and trust. Faculty and staff are equally responsible for modelling integrity in teaching and research, and all community members share the responsibility of promoting ethical behaviour.
