Human Resource Management Diploma

The Human Resource Management Program at Keyano College is designed to prepare students for dynamic roles in HR by integrating core business knowledge with specialized human resources training. Over two years, students will build a solid foundation in employment law, organizational strategy, and workforce planning - all while developing practical leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

This diploma aligns with the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) Alberta competency framework, making it an excellent first step toward Human Resources designation and professional advancement.

Capstone and Work Experience

In your final year, you’ll complete:

A Human Resource Management Capstone Project, applying your knowledge to a real business challenge.

A Work-Integrated Learning experience, such as a co-op or practicum, to gain valuable workplace exposure and build professional connections.

Admission Requirements

Standard Entry:

  • Alberta High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 55% in Math 30-1 or 30-2
  • Minimum 60% in English 30/30-1 or 65% in English 33/30-2

Mature Students (21+):

You may qualify by:

  • Completing the required courses
  • Passing the College Placement Assessment
  • Applying as a Special Student (1 course per term)

  • IELTS: 6.0 overall
  • CAEL: 60

  • Based on 15–16.5 credits per term. Does not include books or supplies.
    All fees are approximate and subject to change. Final tuition is confirmed at registration.

  • Tuition estimates are based on full-time enrollment across all semesters and do not include lab fees. Lab fees range from $34–$132 (2024–25) and $35–$135 (2025–26).

  • Health & Dental fees are applied automatically but may be waived with proof of alternate coverage. Visit the StudentCare website for opt-out deadlines.

  • Some programs include a mandatory Spring semester for on-time graduation.

  • Tuition is due 10 business days before the start of each term.
