Privacy Management Program

Under the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) and its Ministerial Regulation (POPA M-reg) Keyano College is required to have a Privacy Management Program (PMP). The PMP is the collection of policies, procedures, processes and guidelines that address how personal information, non-personal information, and data derived from personal information in the custody and control of Keyano College will be collect, used, disclosed, protected, and created. It establishes the roles and responsibilities of the College and its employees, and the rights of individual’s whose personal information to which the College is responsible. ​

Privacy by Design

​Keyano College appreciates the need for enhanced protection of the personal information entrusted to our care. Students, staff, and business partners can be secure in the knowledge that Keyano is creating a “privacy by design” approach to our information assets. Privacy by design means that deliberate choices, decisions and technologies are considered upfront to not only meet business needs but to maintain user trust, and handle information ethically and securely.​
