The Bouchier Indigenous Student Centre
Whether you're adjusting to college life, navigating funding, or just looking for a place to connect, we’re here to help.
From one-on-one advising to cultural programming and wellness support, the Bouchier Indigenous Student Centre is your space to find balance, connection, and guidance.
We respectfully acknowledge that Keyano College is located on Treaty 8 territory, the traditional and contemporary meeting grounds and gathering places of the Denesuline, Cree and Métis Peoples of this region. Our name, Keyano (kiyânaw in nêhiyawêwin – Cree language), translates to “we, us, our” and speaks to the connection we have as a community and our commitment to being in the right relationships with the First Peoples of these lands.
The Bouchier Indigenous Student Centre is a vibrant, inclusive space dedicated to supporting Indigenous students and honouring Indigenous cultures. Whether you’re looking to connect with peers, participate in cultural activities, or simply find a quiet space to reflect and study, the centre is here for you.
A Space to Connect and Grow
The Centre is open to all students and designed with community at its heart. It’s a place to:
- Participate in traditional practices like smudging, drumming, and beading
- Connect with Elders and knowledge keepers
- Access academic and peer supports
- Take part in cultural events and community gatherings
- Relax, recharge, and feel at home between classes
From ceremony to celebration, this space honours Indigenous identity and creates opportunities for all students to learn and grow together.

Honouring Our Partners
The creation of this space would not have been possible without the generous support of our community.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Bouchier, whose contribution helped bring the vision for the Indigenous Student Centre to life. Their commitment to Indigenous education and community is reflected in every aspect of the centre’s design and programming.
