Yes. All four years are completed locally, with years 3 and 4 delivered by the University of Alberta at Keyano’s campus.
The University Transfer: Bachelor of Arts Program at Keyano College offers students the opportunity to complete up to two years (60 credits) of university-level study in a supportive college setting. After completing transfer-eligible courses, students continue their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree at a partner university.
Students can explore disciplines such as English, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Anthropology, building strong academic and research skills along the way. The program is open to both full-time and part-time learners, and custom planning is available for those pursuing majors or minors outside of the standard offerings.

- Understand curriculum design, assessment, and instructional strategies
- Learn to teach math, science, language arts, social studies, fine arts, and more

Collaborative Degree: University of Alberta (Years 3 & 4)
After completing 60 credits at Keyano College, students apply to the University of Alberta to begin year 3 of the Bachelor of Education – Elementary program. This program is delivered collaboratively on-site in Fort McMurray, allowing students to complete the full degree locally.

Admission Requirements
High School Admission
Applicants must have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with:
- A minimum average of 60% with no mark below 50% in:
- English 30-1
- Three subjects from Groups A or C
- One subject from Group A, B, or C
- Math 30-1 or Math 30-2 is strongly recommended as it is a prerequisite for required math courses

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older by the first day of classes and present:
- English 30-1
- One subject from Group A or C
- Math 30-1 or Math 30-2 is strongly recommended
After Degree Admission
Students with a recognized 3- or 4-year degree may apply directly into year 3 of the program. Requirements include:
- An accredited degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, or General Studies
- 6 credits in English Literature or Composition
- Completion of 60 credits of program-aligned coursework
- Completion of the Casper online situational judgment test

Yes. Upon completion, you are eligible to apply for Alberta teacher certification.
I already have a degree. Can I still apply?
