University Transfer

University Transfer Bachelor of Commerce

The University Transfer: Bachelor of Commerce Program at Keyano College allows students to complete up to 60 credits (two years) of a business degree in a supportive, cost-effective college environment. Students take foundational courses in economics, business, humanities, math, and social sciences before transferring to a partner university to complete their Bachelor of Commerce or Management degree.

This flexible pathway is ideal for students who want to:

  • ENGL 104 – Introduction to Critical Analysis

  • MATH 1113 – Elementary Calculus I

  • PSYCH 104 – Basic Psychological Processes

  • SOCY 100 – Intro to Sociology (can be taken in Fall or Winter)

  • Fine Arts / Humanities / Social Sciences / Sciences / Junior English elective

Year 1

Winter Semester

    • ECON 102 – Macroeconomics

    • ENGL 103 – Case Studies in Research

    • PSYCH 105 – Individual and Social Behaviour

    • SOCY 100 – Intro to Sociology (can be taken in Fall or Winter)

    • SATS 151 – Introduction to Applied Statistics I

    • Fine Arts / Humanities / Social Sciences / Sciences / Junior English elective

Note: Minimum grade of C– required for most transfer credits. Higher grades may be needed for competitive majors (e.g., Finance or Accounting).

Admission Requirements

High School Admission

Applicants must have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with:

  • A minimum average of 60%, with no mark below 50%, including:

    • English 30-1

    • Math 30-1

    • One subject from Group A or C (Social Studies 30-1 recommended)

    • One additional subject from Group A or C

    • One subject from Group A, B, or C (Mathematics 31 recommended)

English Language Proficiency

If English is not your first language, you must meet one of the following:

  • TOEFL iBT: 86 (no section below 21)

  • IELTS: 6.5 (no band below 5.0)

  • CAEL: 70

  • MELAB: 85

  • Duolingo: 115

  • PTE Academic: 58
