What is Computer Managed Learning (CML)?
Unlike traditional in-person or scheduled programs, Computer Managed Learning allows students to study independently from any location, using digital course materials and online assessments.
Students progress through the program by completing:
- Quizzes
- Unit tests
- Section tests
- Final exams
The Computer Managed Learning format provides the same theoretical content required for certification but in a more accessible and adaptable structure, helping students prepare for the ABSA Part A & B exams at their own pace.

Power Lab Enrollment
If you're enrolled in the Computer Managed Learning (CML) for Power Engineering, you’ll need to apply separately for the Power Lab course (CEPLAB 200) once you're eligible.
Students can complete the required 4th class steam hours in Keyano’s Power Lab.
To be eligible for Power Lab registration, you must:
- Successfully complete both Part A and Part B of the 4th Class Power Engineering theory through the CML asynchronous format.
- Once completed, you can apply to register for the next available CEPLAB 200 Power Lab offering.
How to Register:
- Contact registrar@keyano.ca to initiate the registration process
- The Power Lab is not automatically included in your CML program, so separate registration is required.
Tuition:
- CML In-Person Tuition: Paid as per your initial course selection.
- Power Lab (CEPLAB 200): ~$6,145.00, billed separately upon registration.
Key Notes:
- The Power Lab provides the required 200 hours of hands-on steam time for 4th Class Power Engineering certification.
- Once CEPLAB 200 is successfully completed, students will receive a Completion Letter, which must be submitted to ABSA to fulfill the steam time requirement.
