Keyano College’s Registered Nurse (RN) Refresher Program is designed for former or non-practising Canadian RNs seeking to re-enter the workforce or enhance their clinical knowledge. This flexible, comprehensive program helps you update essential nursing skills, meet regulatory standards, and successfully transition back into today’s Canadian healthcare environment.
You can enroll in the full program or select only the courses that match your professional needs (subject to eligibility and course availability). Delivered through a combination of academic coursework, lab simulations, and supervised clinical practice, this program prepares you for safe, competent, and culturally informed practice.

Through the Registered Nurse Refresher Program, you’ll refresh your knowledge and skills in:

Admission Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
Hold current or past Canadian RN registration
Achieve a minimum of 80% on a proctored nursing baseline exam
Participate in a pre-entry interview (if selected)
Meet clinical and digital literacy prerequisites

Maintain a GPA of 2.3 or higher
Achieve at least a C+ in all theory courses
Pass all lab and clinical components
Score 80% or higher in CEIERN 109: NGNCLEX Prep
