Hospitality Management Diploma

With a focus on service to others, the Hospitality Management Diploma program will prepare students for a career in this diverse yet integrated industry. Developed with input from industry experts, students gain practical experience, while learning from and networking with industry professionals, within our regional hospitality and tourism organizations. 

Students gain real-world knowledge of the hospitality and tourism industries that will allow them to develop skills related to customer service, business communications & technologies; financial management; marketing & sales; laws, safety & security; workplace regulations; human resource management, leadership, travel & tourism. All of these are key components of this diploma.

What You’ll Learn

This program prepares students for a career in the hospitality and tourism industry, with hands-on experience and guidance from industry professionals. You’ll learn how to deliver exceptional guest experiences, manage operations, and develop the skills needed to succeed in a service-focused environment.

  • Financial management, marketing, and sales in hospitality
  • Safety, security, and workplace regulations
  • Food & beverage, front office, housekeeping, and culinary operations

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the Hospitality Management program may pursue supervisory level careers in global hospitality and tourism sectors such as hotels, restaurants, resorts, cruise lines, tourism development and marketing organizations and similar organizations, become entrepreneurs, event planners and tour organizers.

Admission Requirements

High School Diploma, or equivalent, with a minimum of:

  • A minimum of 50% in English 30-1 OR English 30-2 AND
  • A minimum of 50% in Math 20-1 OR Math 20-2

Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency through one of the following:

  • TOEFL iBT: minimum score of 79 (no section below 19)
  • IELTS: minimum overall band score of 6.0
  • CAEL: minimum score of 60
  • MELAB: minimum score of 80
  • Duolingo English Test: minimum score of 95
  • PTE Academic: minimum score of 50

In addition to demonstrating English Language Proficiency, applicants whose first language is not English must also present Spoken Language Proficiency. Applicants who have six or more years of full-time education (including grade 12 year or higher) in a Canadian school where the language of instruction was English, meet this requirement. If applicants do not present these years of English education, they can meet this requirement by presenting one of the following:

  • A minimum of 26 on the speaking band of the TOEFL: iBT
  • A minimum of 7.5 on the IELTS speaking band
  • A minimum of 125 on the Duolingo conversation band

Please note

  • Based on 15–16.5 credits per term. Does not include books or supplies.
    All fees are approximate and subject to change. Final tuition is confirmed at registration.

  • Tuition estimates are based on full-time enrollment across all semesters and do not include lab fees. Lab fees range from $34–$132 (2024–25) and $35–$135 (2025–26).

  • Health & Dental fees are applied automatically but may be waived with proof of alternate coverage. Visit the StudentCare website for opt-out deadlines.

  • Some programs include a mandatory Spring semester for on-time graduation.

  • Tuition is due 10 business days before the start of each term.

Withdrawal before program start

Students who withdraw 10 or more days before the program start date are eligible for a 50% refund of tuition fees, excluding any non-refundable deposits.

Program cancellation

If Keyano cancels the program, participants will receive a full refund, including tuition and deposits.
Deposits - all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
