Business Administration Accounting Diploma
The Business Accounting Program at Keyano College prepares you for entry-level accounting roles and long-term career growth. You’ll build a solid foundation in financial theory, reporting, and business strategy, all while studying in-person at our Fort McMurray campus.
Start with the Accounting Certificate and continue seamlessly into this two-year diploma, or enter directly into Year 1 of this diploma program.

Admission Requirements
Standard Entry:
- Alberta High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Minimum 55% in Math 30-1 or 30-2
- Minimum 60% in English 30/30-1 or 65% in English 33/30-2
Mature Students (21+):
You may qualify by:
- Completing the required courses
- Passing the College Placement Assessment
- Applying as a Special Student (1 course per term)
English Language Proficiency (if applicable):
- TOEFL iBT: 79 (no section below 19)
- IELTS: 6.0 overall

Can I start with the certificate and move into the diploma?
Yes. Many students begin with the Accounting Certificate and transition directly into Year 2 of this diploma program, provided they have completed all Year 1 courses (or their equivalents) required for the diploma.
Is this diploma enough to get a job in accounting?
Yes. It qualifies you for a wide range of accounting roles and provides a strong foundation for further study.
Does this program include a co-op placement?
