Application Process
Students interested in credit programs must apply using the province-wide online application system ApplyAlberta. Applications are processed starting the day they are received, so applying early is encouraged.

Application Deadlines

Domestic applications open October 1 at 12:00 PM MST for Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring intakes.

International applications open November 1 at 12:00 PM MST.

Many programs fill quickly, so early application is recommended.
How to Apply
- Submit your application online through ApplyAlberta and select Keyano College.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee:
- $54 for domestic applicants
- $107 for international applicants
- If you’re applying to more than one program, you must submit a separate application and fee for each.
Transcripts Submission
- Current high school students should email first- and second-semester enrolment records to admissions@keyano.ca
- If you studied in Alberta, your transcripts will be requested automatically.
- If you studied outside Alberta, you must contact your former institution and request official transcripts be sent directly to the Office of the Registrar.
After You Apply – Domestic Applicants
You will receive a MyKeys Admission Portal invite via email. Follow the "Access Portal" link to set your password.

Next steps:
- Pay the non-transferable, non-refundable $250 admission deposit to confirm your seat.
- You have 10 business days to accept the offer. If your offer expires, email admissions@keyano.ca to request reinstatement based on availability.
- You’ll receive your acceptance or conditional acceptance once your deposit is processed.
- You may be eligible for:
- Register for classes.
- Meet with a Student Advisor to plan your academic path.
After You Apply – International Applicants
You will receive a MyKeys Admission Portal invite via email. Use the "Access Portal" link to set your password.

International admissions consider academic background, English proficiency, and diversity to create an inclusive environment.
Steps:
- Pay the non-transferable, non-refundable $5,000 admission deposit within 10 business days. If the offer expires, email admissions@keyano.ca.
- You will receive an acceptance email and several official documents:
- Letter of Acceptance
- Tuition Maximum Letter
- Co-op Letter (if required)
- Provincial Attestation Letter
- Upload proof of a valid study permit in the MyKeys portal before the deadline:
- Fall Intake: August 1
- Winter Intake: December 1
- Summer Intake: April 1
If the study permit is not uploaded by the deadline, you will be removed from all registered courses. Reinstatement is possible only if the permit is submitted and space is available.
