Keyano College appoints Dr. Mark Dolmont as the new Vice President, Academic and Student Experience

Keyano College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Mark Dolmont as its new Vice President, Academic and Student Experience.
A longtime educator and respected community leader, Dr. Dolmont has lived and worked in the region for nearly 20 years, contributing significantly to education across both the Public and Catholic school divisions. Most recently, he served as Acting Director of Teaching and Learning with the Fort McMurray Public School Division, where he provided system-level leadership to support teaching, learning, and student achievement. Prior to this role, he was the Principal of École McTavish Public High School, guiding the school through a period of substantial growth, reaching nearly 1,800 students.
Dr. Dolmont also brings postsecondary experience, having served as a sessional instructor at Keyano College and as the inaugural Coordinator of Graduate Recruitment and Student Retention at the University of New Brunswick. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education from St. Francis Xavier University, a Master of Education from the University of New Brunswick, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Western University. His doctoral work focused on supporting Indigenous students and advancing inclusive educational practices.
President Dr. Scott MacPherson, who joined the College earlier this year, noted that the addition of Dr. Dolmont further positions Keyano to advance learner success and regional growth.

Dr. Dolmont shared his enthusiasm for the role and for Keyano’s future.
