We know that moving to a new country is a big step. That’s why our International Education Office is here to support you from the moment you start planning your arrival, right through to settling into your new life in Fort McMurray.

Whether you need help with your travel plans, housing, health insurance, or simply finding your way around, we’ve got the tools and resources to make your transition as smooth as possible.

Before You Travel: Prepare for Arrival

Make sure you’ve reviewed the International Student Checklist before booking your travel. Keyano College recommends arriving in Fort McMurray at least one to two weeks before classes begin so you have time to settle in and get comfortable. Not sure what to pack? Free Airport Pickup for New International Students

Keyano College offers complimentary airport pickup from Fort McMurray International Airport (YMM) for new international students. To take advantage of this service, please review the important information below:

Request Deadline

Airport pickup requests must be submitted at least five (5) business days before your departure to Fort McMurray. Business days are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Mountain Time), excluding holidays.

Request Form

All required fields in the Airport Pickup Request Form must be completed accurately. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*). Please include a WhatsApp number so we can reach you during your travel.

Confirmation

After submitting your request, you will receive a confirmation with your pickup details and emergency contact phone numbers.

Voucher & Transport

Upon arrival, you will be provided with a transportation voucher to take you directly from the airport to your accommodation—no stops in between.

Luggage & Family Note

A maximum of two (2) taxi vouchers will be provided per student. If you are travelling with a large family or excess luggage, you may be responsible for any additional transportation costs beyond this limit.

Follow-up Support

A Keyano staff member will follow up with you on the next business day after your arrival to ensure a smooth transition into your new environment.
