Making a request for records under ATIA
Before making a formal request under ATIA please contact the appropriate department or email FOIP@keyano.ca to see if the information you seek is readily available. Keyano College endeavours to be as transparent as possible by making general information available through routine disclosure, provided the information is neither subject to exception from disclosure under ATIA nor contains personal information about other individuals.
If the information you seek is not obtainable by routine disclosure you may submit a formal request. The College will have 30 business days to respond to your request, although there are exceptions as stipulated in the Act. These exceptions will be communicated to you if they apply.
You may submit your formal request by using the Access to Information Request Form.
If you are requesting:

- General information (non-continuing request) – requires $25 fee.
- General information (continuing request) – requires $50 fee.
Please Note: If submitting your request by mail you may include a cheque. If you wish to pay cash, debit or visa please contact FOIP@keyano.ca to arrange an appointment as payment must be made in person.
Give as much detail as possible, describe the records you would like access to, the time period for the records, and if known the College division that would hold the records.
Your request will begin once your written request and fees have been received by the Records Management and Information Access Advisor, and if the level of detail you provided regarding the records you seek is sufficient to locate the records.
