Executive Leadership
A History of Growth and Service
Founded in 1965 as the Alberta Vocational Centre, Keyano College has evolved to meet the changing needs of Fort McMurray and the wider Wood Buffalo region.
We’ve grown from small vocational classrooms into a comprehensive post-secondary institution offering programs in: Trades and apprenticeship, health and human services, business and technology, arts and university transfer.
Throughout our history, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to serving the people of this region through education, training, and community partnerships.
Leadership with Purpose
Keyano College is led by a dedicated team of educators, administrators, and community partners who are committed to student success and institutional integrity. Our leaders bring experience in education, public service, business, and industry, helping the college remain responsive to the needs of our region and learners. We are governed by the Keyano College Board of Governors, which sets strategic direction in accordance with Alberta’s Post-secondary Learning Act and Ministerial Mandate.
