Program Overview

Are you a young adult looking to take the next step towards a successful career? Thanks to the generous support of RBC, Keyano College has launched the RBC Career Transition Program. This program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you will need to thrive in today’s competitive job market or pursue further education.

The program spans eight weeks, where you will immerse yourself in an empowering learning experience that blends classroom instruction, career exploration, and valuable hands-on volunteer opportunities.

Admission Requirements 

  • Between the ages 18 to 29.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.

Program Structure

Throughout the program, you'll engage in a variety of enriching activities that are structured to propel you towards success:

  • In-Depth Classroom Training: Over six weeks, you'll delve into a comprehensive curriculum covering essential topics such as computer skills, customer service etiquette, business communication, employment strategies, and safety protocols. These practical skills are the building blocks of a successful career in today's fast-paced world.
  • Career Path Exposure: Our program provides you with insights into various career paths, helping you discover the perfect direction for your professional growth. With an eye towards your strengths and interests, we'll guide you to make informed choices about your future.
  • Valuable Volunteer Placements: This two-week volunteer placement with businesses and organizations in Fort McMurray, including RBC, allows you to put your newfound skills into practice. You will contribute to the community, and make a positive impact, while gaining practical experience in the professional world.

Schedule and Fees

Applications open October 2023.
Program Intakes:
We offer two intakes throughout the year: May 2024 and October 2024. 

Duration: The program spans eight weeks in total - six weeks of in-person classes, followed by two weeks of engaging volunteer placements.
Time: Classes run Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Tuition: The program's tuition is $750. And that's not all – as a program student, you'll receive a $500 tuition voucher that you can apply towards upcoming Continuing Education & Extended Studies courses, further enriching your learning journey.
