Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System Training (WHMIS)

We offer the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System Training (WHMIS) self-guided, online program. The goal of the WHMIS training program is to make sure you are aware of your workplace's hazardous materials and labels and their proper use to maintain safety on the job.

Admission requirements

You will need a government issued piece of picture identification.

Tuition and fees

The cost of the WHMIS online course is $70.00 plus GST.

Program structure

The WHMIS program is a self-guided, online course that will teach you about potential hazards in the workplace. It is necessary for all workplaces with hazards in Canada. The web-based training allows you to learn at your own pace and takes 2 to 5 hours

The certification is valid for 2 years

Location and testing schedules

You can find testing space available at Room BL141 in the Bob Lamb Building at the Clearwater Campus. We are open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, except on statutory holidays.
