Ambassador to Canada from Gabon visits Keyano College

Keyano College was privileged to welcome Mr. Sosthène Ngokila, Ambassador of Gabon to Canada to sign a memorandum of understanding in hopes of fostering opportunities for students from his country to participate in International Studies at Keyano College.  Ambassador Ngokila also participated in speaking at the reopening of the Syncrude Sport and Wellness Centre (SSWC).

“I would just like to thank Keyano College for welcoming me”, said Ambassador Ngokila. “Gabon is a French-speaking country, but I wish to pass along my countries hope that this visit will be the start of a partnership for international learning with Keyano”. Interim President and CEO Dale Mountain echoed those sentiments and said, “Keyano is proud of its International Studies and looks forward to developing and fostering a relationship that is good for the students of Gabon and the College”.   

Following the reopening ceremony, the Ambassador was joined by MLA Laila Goodridge and taken on a tour of SSWC, Keyano Theatre and the Oil Sands Power and Processing Engineering Lab before an afternoon meeting where further partnership discussions were held.
