The Keyano College Huskies has welcomed a head coach for Esports for the College’s first ever season of competition.

Keyano is pleased to announce the arrival of Ben Bramly, as new head coach for the Huskies Esports team. This follows the College’s announcement earlier this year, for the new Esports management diploma which would be complemented by a Huskies Esports team.  Keyano is currently one of two colleges in Canada which offers the program and one of only a handful of colleges which will have a competitive Esports team.

Ben joins Keyano from Durham College, Ontario after spending two years with the Durham Lords as a coach. He said, "I'm very excited to join Keyano and build one of the first school-supported Esports programs in Canada.

“I'm looking forward to creating an amazing experience for students at the college, as well as a program that Keyano can be proud to have represent them in events and tournaments in Alberta and across North America."

Jonathan Lambert, Director of Athletics and Recreation at Keyano said, “Keyano College Athletics is extremely happy to welcome Ben to our Huskies family as our new Esports Coach. He brings with him the experience as both an Esports student athlete and coach, that will help guide him to develop and grow the Esports team at Keyano, to be one of the premier Esports teams at the Canadian college level.”

The head coach will also oversee and manage the set up and running of the new Esports arena which is set to open on campus in January 2022.
