Keyano College receives funding allowing some students to take part in outbound mobility initiatives

As part of Canada's new International Education Strategy, Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) has been selected by the Government of Canada to design and administer a new outbound student mobility pilot program and Keyano College is excited to be included. This investment by the federal government will provide thousands of post-secondary institutions funding to grant students the opportunity to study and work abroad, strengthening their global competency and enriching Canada's economic prosperity. It will allow students to develop valuable intercultural competencies, access enriching employment opportunities, and help Canada's economy thrive.

Engaging in International Education and Global Citizenship initiatives is a new endeavor for Keyano College but one that is welcomed. Fred Russell, Vice President Academic said, “This program is committed to ensuring that students contribute to strengthening the local community and building on our core strengths in the areas of industry, athletics and leadership, and multiculturalism and we’re excited to have Keyano College be a part of it”.

This pilot is funded by the Government of Canada's Outbound Student Mobility Pilot Program, designed and administered by Colleges and Institutes Canada. We thank the Government of Canada and CICan for their support in helping the College build its capacity to implement and test innovative approaches to reduce barriers to study/work abroad for students.
