Keyano College celebrating local artists during Alberta Culture Days

Posted On Thursday September 03, 2020

Keyano College is proud to display local artists' work and be a celebration site for Alberta Culture Days.

On September 24-27, in partnership with Arts Council Wood Buffalo, the College’s front lawn will open up to several scheduled walking tours with a variety of pop-up artists featuring dance, music and art, and craft demonstrations that will be added to the Art Gallery’s walking tour.

Each selection will be tagged with a link to hear the artist describe their work and an insight to the path they took on their artistic journey.

As a special activity, a unique “hunt” will feature several sculptures by local Fort McKay Indigenous Artist, Shawn McClure. His work will be on display through out Alberta Culture Days events, either in real life or on our social platforms. Once “discovered”, we invite our guest to tag these items on our Facebook page to enter into a draw to win one of them.

Alberta Culture Days Arts in the Park runs September 24 and 25 from 5-7 p.m. and September 26-27 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2-4 p.m.

All live presentations and exhibits will meet and exceed Alberta Health Services and the Alberta Government COVID-19 guidelines.
