Keyano College Huskies raise money through annual golf classic

Last month, the Keyano College Huskies hosted the annual golf classic in a bid to raise funds for the College’s student-athletes.

The golf classic, which has been on hiatus since 2019 due to the pandemic, raised over $80,000. The Huskies hosted 95 golfers on the day who participated in 18-holes of golf at the Fort McMurray Golf Club as well as fun activities organized by student volunteers.

Jonathan Lambert, Director of Athletics and Recreation for Keyano College said, “We’re so grateful to everyone who turned out to support the golf classic, in particular our sponsors and our title sponsor Aircon. It was great to see so many people after having to cancel last year.”

“We managed to raise $81,681, the money raised will go directly to supporting the student-athlete experience, ensuring that they are able to achieve their potential academically and athletically. We hope everyone will join us again next year, on Friday, August 26 for the 2022 golf classic.”
