Keyano College Golf Classic raises more than $120,000

The 2019 Keyano Golf Classic was a smash success, bringing in over $120,000 which will go to support Huskies Athletics at Keyano Colllege.

Presenting partners ALCOR and 36 other sponsors made up the 150 golfers for the day who played 18 holes at the Fort McMurray Golf Club in support of the College.

The Golf Classic was an entertaining event for participants on the course with creative games, challenges, and prizes along the way. The golfers wrapped up the day with a banquet, during which it was the announced that this year’s Gala act will be country favourites, George Canyon and Emerson Drive.

Dr. Trent Keough, President and CEO of Keyano College, thanked everyone for their incredible generosity and highlighted what the event means for the College and its students. He said: “The Golf Classic is a fun event for our sponsors to come out and have a good time but it’s an important fundraiser for us.  These funds will be instrumental in growing our athletic program and helping to give even more students the opportunity to compete at college-level sports and achieve academic excellence.”
