Keyano College has signed an agreement allowing graduates from the Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Diploma program to transfer into the Elementary Education program in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta (U of A). The transfer agreement will allow ELCC students to apply their educational credits towards their Education Degree at the U of A.

Dr. Eli Ahlquist Dean, School of Health & Human Services said, “This is extremely good news for the students in the ELCC program because this agreement allows them to advance their career by laddering their education into the Bachelors of Elementary Education. This affirms that our students here at Keyano College are receiving a first-class education that will offer them multiple avenues for success in the future whether it be in furthering their education or successfully entering the workforce.”

The agreement is tremendous news for local students who wish to remain at home to start their post-secondary studies. It also provides students with the advantage of receiving their education in a more intimate setting with smaller classes and more access to one-on-one training with their instructors. Students who wish more information should contact the Office of the Registrar at Keyano College.
